Millennia Inquire about this piece

This sculpture, “Millennia,” was carved from a square block of white alabaster. After I’d chipped away at the stone for many hours, a large chunk fell off the front. in my mind, I instantly saw an image of a flying angel. When I had finished the piece there was one grey-colored vein. I interpreted this as a blindfold covering her eyes, and symbolic of the times we have to face fear with faith, and fly blindly into the unknown.
