My friend’s young daughter, Tatiana, was very striking.  We planned to use her as a model for our next life-size sculpture.  While Tatiana was getting photographed and fussed over in the house, my wife Cassie was entertaining her three-year-old brother, Little Otis, playing dinosaurs on the porch.  Little O was so entertaining and expressive fighting those plastic dinosaurs that he stole the show.  We snapped some photos of his play and six months later he was immortalized in bronze: “Dinosaur Opera.”  Sorry big sister!

DAN HILL

Dan’s sculpture career began with retirement from his landscape business in 1995.  Two years later he carved out a niche, sculpting his first life-size composition of a child.  During the ensuing years he has created an impressive protfolio of sculpture, and continues to work from his studio at the Hill Gallery Sculpture Park in Sandy, Utah.  Dan was born in SLC, UT in 1929.
