As a sculptor, I take great pleasure in establishing a connection with those who view my work, collaborating with clients, and forming new friendships. My objective is to capture the fundamental qualities of an individual and narrate their story, whether it involves whimsical portrayals of children and animals, paying homage to the military, or producing poignant tributes to civic leaders. By working with pliable clay, I’m able to manipulate the surfaces to align with my creative vision before solidifying them in bronze. My central focus is on capturing subtle facial expressions, the distinctiveness of each individual, the expressive power of hands, and ensuring that my pieces are proportioned in a way that feels true to life. I am very meticulous whenever I create sculptures, and I always make sure to put in a lot of effort to study my subject.

About the Artist

Sutton Betti’s passion for creating outdoor sculptures was ignited during his time studying traditional art at San Francisco’s Academy of Art University. After a decade of being a sculpture studio assistant and learning the ins and outs of running a successful sculpture business, he decided to embark on his own artistic journey. He has since been sculpting and casting in bronze for 25 years and has permanently installed close to 60 outdoor monuments for public and private collections throughout the contiguous United States. Many of the sculptural projects Sutton’s involved in revolve around honoring the military. However, he also creates bronze sculptures of historical figures, civic leaders and athletes. Sutton has an active relationship with several fine art bronze foundries and has designed outdoor plazas and landscapes for outdoor monuments.
