Marcia Robinson-Rouse

Time With My Sister by Marcia captures the quiet strength and joy of deep connection.

Two figures lean into one another, reflecting a shared energy that speaks to trust, familiarity, and love. Inspired by a personal visit, the sculpture expresses a bond that feels both intimate and universal, resonating with anyone who has experienced meaningful connection with a sister or close friend.

Marcia’s work centers on the essence of the feminine, often exploring themes of relationship, presence, and emotional connection. Her process is intuitive, allowing each piece to evolve naturally as it takes shape. In Time With My Sister, that approach results in a composition that feels organic and genuine, emphasizing feeling over form.

Material plays an important role in her work. This piece is created using Pal Tiya, a fiber-infused cement material that begins with a clay-like softness and cures into a durable, stone-like finish. Additional details, including the floral elements, are sculpted with epoxy clay, enhancing both texture and longevity for outdoor display.

Marcia began her artistic journey in drawing and watercolor before discovering stone carving in 1996. She later trained in Pietrasanta, Italy, refining her sculptural practice. Her work has been exhibited nationally, including multiple years at the Loveland Sculpture in the Park show, and is featured in public installations such as life-sized angel sculptures at hospitals in Colorado and Utah. Through her work, she continues to create pieces that invite reflection, connection, and a sense of peace.

Emissaries of Light by Marcia Robinson-Rouse

This sculpture was created when Marcia was awakened in the night with a vision that seemed  both angelic and organic. Marcia had the sense that the being lived between our world and the  heavens, acting as a messenger to stand by our side and guide us through the journey of our  life. She now calls this series “Emissaries of Light.” Marcia hopes to enhance people through her creativity; to bring joy, inspiration, or a sense of peace and healing through her art.
