Cordell Taylor

Cordell Taylor began his career as a professional ironworker and fabricator in the oilfields of the western United States before returning to Utah to complete his education and earn a BFA from the University of Utah.

He has exhibited nationally and internationally and received awards for artistic achievement from the Masaryk Academy in Prague, the National Sculpture Society in New York, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Utah Arts Council, and others. His work is included in the collections of the San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank, Wells Fargo, AT&T, UTA, and Utah Opera, among others. Taylor has participated in solo and group exhibitions in the Czech Republic, Germany, Japan, New York, Los Angeles, and throughout the United States.

Taylor previously served on the Utah Arts Council Board of Directors, representing artists and helping distribute funding to Utah artists and arts organizations. In addition to owning galleries, he has been a member of the Denver Art Dealers Association and served as secretary of the Salt Lake Gallery Association.

Today, he continues to create new work and commissions while actively proposing public artworks and exhibitions nationally and internationally.
