“Midfield Matchup” captures the action and passion of young boys playing soccer. These bronze soccer boys are equally at home at the community soccer pitch, school playing field, or the backyard. They were inspired by Dan’s grandsons, Derek and Sawyer, during their youth soccer glory days.

Meet the Artist

Dan Hill Sculpture is a father/son collaboration that began in 1995, creating small outdoor action bronze sculpture. During the past 20 years our focus has been on the creation of lifesize bronze sculpture, specializing in compositions of children, with some dogs, cats, birds and adults thrown in. We have participated in 12 Art Around the Corner shows, beginning in 2007. This past September, Dan L. Hill passed away at the ripe age of 92. The “Midfield Matchup” sculpture submitted here is part of his artistic legacy.
