This piece is an abstract woman being blown by the wind. The sculpture represents women’s freedom, pride and ability to rise to the heights of our full potential despite the opposing winds. I want the person viewing this piece to see not only the feminine fluidity and curvature of the body, but also see the strength of a resilient woman holding her head high.
We the People

We the people are standing in unity to create a planet of harmony. As persons sharing this world, it is up to us to join in keeping Mother Earth healthy and safe. In this sculpture, each of us looks the same. We move beyond our differences to work together.
Meet the Artist
I was born and raised in Minnesota and have dedicated my life to the arts. Since graduating from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Fine Arts, my passion for sculpting has become my life’s calling. My artwork represents my very different artistic sides, from childhood delight to my admiration of the human form. I’ve become known for my Humpty Dumpty creations and am especially proud to display some of my human form pieces in the 2022 Art Around the Corner Show.
I’m a native of Minneapolis, and I’ve been a bronze sculptor since I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Fine Art in 1978. I create bronze sculptures that range from fun and whimsical, to classical and contemporary. My work can be found in private collections, city parks, and public art spaces all over the country. Besides being a sculptor, I’ve created a home/gallery/studio that has been described as having the artful complexity of Spanish designer Antonie Gaudi, combined with the surreal nature of Pablo Picasso.
