MORGAN CLEMENTS – ST. GEORGE, UT
“Angels Amongst Us” Bench
Steel
54” X 48” X 24”
$7,500
This project was designed with the idea of Angels among us. The Caduceus element makes it particularly focused on nursing. The idea is that a person will be able to sit on the bench and have angel wings. The project is made of steel. The bench, wings, and supports are solid and the elements containing glass chunks are made of wire mesh, like a Gabion box. There is a light rope inside of the glass elements that is controlled by an automatic switch that turns on the light in the evening and turns it off in the morning. A small solar panel mounted on the back provides the energy.
At Play on the Prarie
Morgan created a bison-themed award for the Art Department at Dixie State University. When it was completed, he thought it would be a great project to do in steel – and this sculpture is the result.

Meet the Artist
Art has always been a part of Morgan Clements’s life. His father wanted him to be a contractor, while his mother, an oil painter, wanted him to be an artist. Initially, to pay the bills and feed his family, his father won, and he worked as a remodeling contractor for 25 years. Then an injury made working the trades difficult. So with the support of his wife, Morgan decided to pursue his first love and become a sculptor. He completed his MFA at the Academy of Art University, one of the few major art schools that still has a strong representational art program. His art is often narrative, and he is always striving to share the beauty he sees in the forms and figures he creates. He works in a broad range of mediums, including clay, steel, and bronze, and in a variety of scales from small to monumental. He also has worked on collaborative projects that involved working with committees and other artist to complete the project.
