Nate is a Utah native who started his artistic journey at the University of Utah, with an emphasis on photography. During a foundational sculpture class, he fell in love with the heat, light, sound, smell, grit, grime, and permanency of steel and welding. His journey continues with large-scale, volumetric structures, generally abstracted and based on the human form and condition.

Inquire about this piece
An expression of appreciation. Being thankful for help in some fashion.
Life is more tangible with gratitude. People are more fully seen with gratitude. I am a more expressive, connective, and caring soul with gratitude.
May I give gratitude freely and accept it graciously.
Inclusion – 2024

Like all of my works, “Inclusion” is focused on keeping humanity in the daily equations of business and the noise of living. I hope to create moments of pause where one can hold space to see a different perspective, recognize a bias, shift a paradigm, and hopefully spark some dialogue.
Consciousness Rising – 2023

“Consciousness Rising” – This piece began as a quick thought: “Could one raise consciousness by simply looking up to others, and would that consciousness continue to expand?” May we see our common humanity and have consciousness of each other. May I allow my consciousness to rise, continually expanding its scope.
Orientation – 2022

“Orientation” – Knowing where one stands in relation to time, space, environment, and being. May we accept that our orientation may change with new understanding

See – 2022

When I see myself in you, and you in myself, we are not other. We and us creates dialogue, connection, peace, and love.
May I see and speak of us and we, rather than them and they.
One.
Ubuntu – 2021

Ubuntu is an African word…or more specifically, it’s a way of being, that has been described as: “I am because you are. You are because I am. Humanity in all things.” To the artist, the word Ubuntu means “We are each other. There is space and a place for each of us; we all fit and are part of one. I see you. I AM.”
