Steve Landis is a Colorado-based sculptor whose work is primarily realized in bronze and ceramics. He earned his BFA from the University of Denver and his MFA in sculpture from the New York Academy of Art Graduate School of Figurative Art in New York City.
Landis’s work is rooted in figurative realism, though it is not confined to a single theme. His sculptures are often driven by eclectic narratives or purely aesthetic exploration, allowing each piece to stand on its own. Working in both large and small formats, he creates sculptures that are either one of a kind or produced in limited editions.
In recent years, Landis has focused increasingly on large-scale public sculptures designed to engage directly with the public art experience. His work is held in public and private collections throughout the United States and internationally.
