The feminine form, hauntingly beautiful and inspiring, has been an obsession for as long as artists have been creating art. In this piece, the form stretches and reaches as it endeavors to realize its full potential. In so doing, it exudes femininity, even in the forms of the space it d occupies. Our one true freedom is the capacity to reach, both beyond and within ourselves, in order to move toward that which we wish to be.

Meet the Artist

Richard Pankratz was raised on a farm near the Flint Hills in Kansas and educated in a very small, rural school district. He taught art in public schools in Kansas and Colorado for 11 years. Then, with the support of his wonderful wife, he embarked upon the Great Art Adventure. Now, in his art, he explores a philosophical and spiritual approach to life. Although we don’t know where life is headed, he believes it continues to be a fantastic journey.
